His forte is providing counsel and leadership to companies that start to build an information security program and become challenged trying to gain momentum and acceptance for process change and new systems.
As a CISO, Brian has worked with C-suite peers, business unit leaders, project teams, and the board to set strategy and policies related to enterprise risk management and data privacy. He encourages investment in employee education as a primary tool to protect corporate assets. His career as an IT leader includes responsibility for enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and applications. Brian has implemented new systems and managed cloud migration projects designed to strengthen operations while bolstering security. He guides technical and product teams to embrace innovation and business process redesign. Brian approaches complex projects with confidence and demonstrates change agility. He is committed to launching new and improved products that support profitable growth.
Brian graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. While teaching the core computer science courses at the school, he earned a Master of Education with an emphasis on Computer Graphics. He then moved to the University of California, Berkeley where he created and taught graduate and undergraduate courses in computational science, computer graphics, and supercomputing. Brian is ITIL v3 Foundation Certified. He also enjoys travelling and road biking in the Northwoods of Wisconsin in the early morning.
