Working at the business unit, division, and enterprise level has afforded him a broad and deep perspective of how to drive transformational change. Bruce defines the challenge and formulates solutions that strengthen infrastructure, applications, and compliance. He has achieved success driving portfolio rationalization, launching offshore delivery teams, and guiding change management programs. Bruce combines a strong business acumen with innovation to chart a fresh approach to address tough operational issues. His teams have contributed to rapid product adoption and profitable growth in new markets. As he serves clients, Bruce leverages his more than twenty years of experience in the insurance industry plus knowledge gained working at a software start-up and major consultancy.

As a CIO and CTO, Bruce has demonstrated a strong leadership across all functions within an IT organization. He is adept at developing technology strategy and roadmaps for product transformation and transitions. His responsibilities have included all aspects of the software development life cycle for strategic projects, tactical changes, and maintenance. He has experience guiding the cloud journey for leading companies and implementing new operating models. Bruce moves quickly to understand the key business levers that drive improved performance and to develop an action-oriented IT agenda. His expertise in launching and fine-tuning new sourcing models results in cost savings and quality improvement. Bruce’s practical leadership enable companies to navigate economic uncertainty and to pursue strategic growth programs. He is equally comfortable driving change in traditional industries and sparking innovation in start-ups.

Bruce graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He served for a decade in the Indiana Army National Guard. His leadership roles ranged from handling logistics for a battalion of 800 solders to serving as Brigade Engineer overseeing all combat engineering matters. An avid golfer, Bruce also enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
