Dan leverages his engineering credentials as he works on the design and launch of cutting-edge software products. He is an expert in designing both high-scale, enterprise-grade platforms and easy to use, responsive, cross-device applications. Dan crafts an IT roadmap geared to scale the organization, taking a practical approach based upon an understanding of customer preferences and market competition. He recruits and mentors talented teams ready to solve problems, navigate change, and embrace new technology. With a strong background working cross-functionally with product, operations, support, and sales teams, Dan is committed to ensuring customer and company success across all aspects of product delivery. Experienced working in startups and rapid-growth SaaS organizations, Dan's leadership style embodies innovation, collaboration, and technical prowess.

As a CTO, Dan has established the vision and roadmap that creates a solid partnership between the business units and technology team. He capitalizes on his deep understanding of customer experience as he works closely with product development colleagues. With a practical approach and broad and deep technology skills, Dan creates technical plans that work. He also drives partnership with stakeholders, industry colleagues, other tech companies, and clients. In prior fractional CTO roles, Dan has been called to advise on product, business, and technical decisions. He keeps close watch on budgets and headcount to ensure profitability goals are achieved. His attention to alignment of strategy and capabilities has resulted in renegotiation of partner contracts that did not make sense from a financial or technical perspective. Dan recognizes and troubleshoots operational issues early on to ensure success of key initiatives and new product launches.

Dan’s technical skills are broad and deep as he enjoys experimenting with new tools, languages, and platforms beyond the areas where he has developed expertise. He programs in Python, TypeScript, Ruby, C++, and another dozen languages. In addition, Dan has experience in specialized technologies such as Kubernetes, video streaming, networking, to name just a few. He holds a patent for delta replication of source files and packages across networked resources. Outside the office, Dan performs improv shows at ComedySportz.
