Dan is a driven change agent and highly accomplished technology & operations c-suite executive in CIO and senior operating roles leveraging 20+ years of restructuring experience at AlixPartners LLP.  He has extensive experience leading efforts as a corporate turnaround and restructuring specialist with proven success in IT transformations, SG&A optimization, ERP transitions, post-merger integration, M&A, divestitures and Chapter 11 bankruptcy including his most recent role as CIO of Bed Bath & Beyond.

He is considered an expert in IT related contracts (outsourcing, Shared Service Agreements, TSA’s...) including audit and expert witness support. Dan has significant experience supporting Private Equity firms from initial due diligence through post-acquisition integration in accelerated time frames.   

His real-world experience navigating change in some of the most urgent and complex situations is complemented by a calm and engaging demeanor. He has built and optimized IT organizations and business processes for small firms as well as global enterprises with budgets from $10m to $2b. Working in the U.S. and internationally, Dan has served diverse industries including financial services, gaming, distribution, power, telecommunications, software and retail. His forte is working with CEOs, boards, executive management teams and investors to improve performance on a rapid and sustainable basis

Dan studied management and economics at Central Michigan University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He continued his education at the University of Detroit, Mercy where he earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and at the Financial Services Institute, Wharton School of Business. Away from his desk, Dan is a serious golfer and enjoys kayaking.
