In the last ten years, he has been deeply involved in the analysis, due-diligence, and integration activities for more than thirty M&A transactions. George crafts and executes plans to sharpen organizational performance through cost reduction initiatives. He also coaches engineering, operations, and production professionals to become active partners to the business. When advising venture capital funded and private equity-backed companies, George leverages the diverse experience and perspective that he gained building IT capabilities in large enterprises. His proven ability to navigate challenging situations and turnaround projects yields positive results.
As a CIO and CTO, George set the technology vision and roadmap for enterprise-wide systems, applications, and security. He led large teams and managed significant operating and capex budgets to achieve greater impact. His focus on product management resulted in innovative solutions and enhanced features. George has served as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to boards, C-suite peers, and business unit management teams. His broad and deep experience at large public companies equate to a practical knowledge matched by robust insights. He is a natural problem solver who attacks IT issues and drives business transformation with ease. Active in the start-up community, George guides founders on growth strategy and scaling operations. George puts laser focus on development of technical resources, new product offerings, and cloud transformations.
George graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He pursued a concentration in operations and production management which set the stage for a career driving efficiency through technology projects and transformational programs. His civic leadership includes serving as a Board Member for the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Atlanta. Away from the desk, he enjoys golf, boating, and attending Auburn football games.
