His background includes design, development, and implementation of systems projects that transform business. Helmut has industry experience that spans manufacturing, healthcare, advanced materials, oil & gas, defense, and electronics. He has a deep knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Helmut is recognized as a trusted voice, team builder, and thought leader who delivers a positive message affecting change.

As a fractional CIO, Helmut has led IT strategy, software development, service centers, and networks for small and mid-cap companies. His accomplishments at private equity backed and family-owned companies reflect an ability to balance strategic planning and execution. Helmut has both strong business acumen and deep technical knowledge which have propelled his successful management of cloud initiatives, ERP & CRM platforms, MSPs, disaster recovery programs, and ecommerce sites. In addition, he has practical experience guiding teams through implementation of NetSuite, HubSpot, Acumatica, QAD, Salesforce, and Crowdstrike. Helmut has also directed policy development, contract negotiation, and new technology evaluation with a focus on business transformation. Helmut has managed global IT business units in EMEA, Asia, and North and South America. A natural team builder, he is committed to recruitment and development of diverse, high-performing teams.

Helmut earned a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University after spending his undergraduate years at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. After growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, his career advancement resulted in a global sphere of leadership influence across eleven countries. Today, he resides with his family in the Denver, Colorado area where he cheers for the Broncos, skis, and plans scuba adventures.
