Jason joined Fortium Partners with a distinguished record of cybersecurity leadership across the financial services, government, and intelligence sectors. He has held responsibility for the development of enterprise-wide cybersecurity and risk management strategies at complex global organizations and mid-sized, privately held businesses.  As a board advisor, he counsels C-suite leaders, business unit executives, and investors on technology and security matters.  Jason is a disciplined yet creative big picture thinker who rallies team members with his passion for purpose and results.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, his career includes notable assignments to protect operations of The White House and redesign secure site networks and facilities for all 54 U.S. National Guard sites following the September 11th terror attack.  Jason has a deep knowledge of software risk assessment, forensic investigations, control frameworks, and vulnerability management. 

As a CISO, Jason took command of cybersecurity and risk management practices at high profile organizations.  He led teams working on cloud services, risk assessments, and control frameworks while managing incident response, vulnerability management, and business continuity.  As a consultant, Jason has successfully leveraged his years of service in the military and with government adjacent organizations to sharpen the security posture of sophisticated enterprises.  He offers broad insight on leading industry platforms and solid knowledge of cloud services. His credentials also include an appointment to the Amazon AWS CISO Council. Equally comfortable in public corporations and private firms, Jason is uniquely positioned to advise on complex, high profile matters. 

Jason is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a charitable leader for the annual Toys for Tots Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project. 

In his spare time, Jason enjoys cooking, teaching fly fishing, and commenting on current security events on his recently launched podcast, Unapologetic Security.
