With over thirty years in financial services sector, he is adept at driving innovation while meeting regulatory requirements.  Joel is helps organizations of all sizes achieve business transformation through cost effective application development and program management.  He has solid knowledge of human resources, retirement, and investment software solutions.  His deep industry knowledge includes significant expertise in corporate acquisitions thanks to having sat on both sides of the table during due diligence and integration execution.  In the fintech arena, he has worked in both B2B and B2C environments with companies that lead and disrupt the market through launch of competitive solutions and investment in new product development.  Joel’s leadership profile reflects a commitment to adding enterprise value while advancing talents and capabilities of his team through exposure to challenging projects.

As a CTO, Joel has set strategy and led teams on complex projects and programs in software development.  He is highly skilled in requirements analysis, enterprise architecture, and Agile methodologies.  His specialization is transaction management for consumer financial services firms.   Joel understands customer behavior and user experience thanks to significant involvement on consumer insights, product management, and integrated marketing projects including email, display, search, personalization, SMS, push, and mobile platforms.  He has strong capabilities in technical platforms, application development, data centers, and resource prioritization.   Across his career, Joel has inspired high-performing technology teams as he champions innovation and profitable growth.

Joel graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a dual major in Finance and MIS from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from LaSalle University.  He continued his professional development with coursework in global strategy and organizational leadership at Harvard Business School and George Washington University, respectively. Joel is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and is certified in Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum Methodology.  In addition to volunteering as a board member for his residential community, he enjoys running 5ks, 10ks, and marathons.
