Jon provides expert yet practical advice to align security strategy with enterprise policy. His perspective incorporates more than three decades of leadership in security, information technology, and engineering. He presents a ground-level to executive-suite competency as he is equally comfortable walking the plant floor and advising boardrooms. Jon addresses security policy, governance, and operations as he builds robust frameworks and compliance programs. His security expertise has been delivered to Fortune 100, multi-national, mid-tier commercial, and public sector organizations globally. He has broad industrial sector experience including manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, water, transportation, ports, and mining. Jon enjoys coaching early-career professionals, helping them to develop an ability to simplify the complex while embracing emerging technologies. He also serves as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Cyber Auxiliary, which strengthens the national defense and helps the Marines build cybersecurity mission capabilities. A continuous learner with ferocious curiosity, Jon is passionate about AI-enabled business and decision-making.

As a CISO, Jon envisioned, implemented, and managed a robust program to protect the enterprise. He ensured sensitive information, assets, networks, and data were shielded from cybersecurity threats. He placed a priority on best practices, policies, and procedures matched by sophisticated technology. Jon leads with strategic assessment followed by thoughtful planning and attention to risk management. His responsibilities have included security audits, compliance, and vendor management. Jon’s dedication to advancing AI is rooted in an understanding of the complexity of cybersecurity and an excitement for the transformative potential of artificial intelligence across the digital security spectrum.

Jon graduated from Excelsior University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. He continued his studies at the U.S. Naval War College and Naval Postgraduate School and completed AI educational programs at Cornell University, UPenn Wharton, and Stanford University. His professional credentials include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). A thought leader and frequent speaker at industry events, Jon has published white papers on security trends, leading industry practices, and emerging technologies. After decades spent as a road warrior, he enjoys reading, vintage cars, and sharing time with his family at home and in the great outdoors.
