Kevin Rigney joined Fortium Partners with an accomplished record as a cybersecurity professional.  Leveraging more than twenty years of service in the United States Navy matched with corporate leadership experience, he provides strategic and tactical advice on security issues related to technology infrastructure, product development, and compliance. Kevin has worked with Fortune 500 companies, government, start-ups, and middle market businesses.  His professional strength is designing cyber controls and processes to meet regulatory requirements such as PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, CCPA, and GDPR, among many industry and legal standards.  Kevin is a skilled coach, respected peer, and valuable executive leader who navigates change with ease and a focus on purpose.

As a CISO, Kevin directed important initiatives related to security, risk management, and compliance.  He built the security organization from the ground up with limited resources and achieved broad impact. Kevin has crafted security protocols, training, and technical solutions to protect customers, associates, and proprietary data. His experience also includes working with product development teams, advising cloud transformation projects, and establishing data analytics capabilities. His deep knowledge and effective leadership have consistently propelled teams to success on numerous IT audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews.

A veteran with more than twenty years of service, Kevin served as the technology operational and administrative lead for naval exercises involving more than twenty participating countries. His mission involved ensuring systems availability, integrity, and security across classified and unclassified military networks.  Kevin was honored for his contributions and leadership with several citations including a Meritorious Service Medal.

Kevin graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and later achieved a Master’s in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University.  He has earned several technical credentials including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CCMC, Registered Practitioner). He is an avid runner in triathlons and charity events, and he enjoys music, reading, golf, and fishing.
