Kevin Sauer, PMP is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ West Region, where he drives corporate IT strategy and project execution to support organizational success.  With global experience across healthcare, business services, aerospace/defense, and manufacturing, he has worked with growth-oriented businesses from startups to Fortune 500 companies.  His diversified background enables quick assessment of IT effectiveness and swift action to align resources.  Kevin is known for his project management and leadership of cross-functional teams involving information technology, engineering, quality assurance, and operations.

As a CIO, Kevin led IT governance, enterprise resource planning, program management, and business intelligence initiatives.  He worked closely with CEOs to integrate acquisitions, identify best practices, and streamline processes.  With direct experience developing applications for patient care, Mr. Sauer has deep knowledge of healthcare privacy and data security.  He has championed efforts to stabilize key systems, close security gaps, and introduce performance metrics while managing teams of up to 200 global professionals and budgets as high as US $20 million.

As a consultant, Kevin has conducted assessment leading to the creation of an IT roadmap to support business growth.  He has identified and implemented outsourcing solutions to support scaling, managed the turnaround of dysfunctional IT departments, and salvaged failed projects.

Active in industry associations, Kevin has served as President of the Arizona Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM) and as a member of the SIM International Board of Directors.  He is a sought-after speaker at IT industry convenings and business forums.

Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.  He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and in the areas of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Six Sigma.
