Mario Skertchly is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ South Central region, where he primarily serves consumer products, food and beverage, and manufacturing companies. His leadership experience includes managing global technology teams,large scale SAP implementations, handling IT due diligence on major acquisitions, IT enabled turnaround and business transformations, and facilitating cross-border collaboration at multinational enterprises. Capitalizing on his work at B2C companies, Mario harnesses the power of information technology to build strong brands and deliver an outstanding customer experience. He balances technical prowess, business knowledge, and savvy communications skills as he advances project teams, forges vendor partnerships, and drives global technology integration.
As a CIO, Mario led multiple large scale ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, JDE) with notable success. He introduced business intelligence applications that positively impacted sales operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain. He also managed the US implementation of a global cyber security platform to secure the infrastructure, provide enterprise wide training, and heighten risk awareness at all levels from factory floor to the executive suite. Mario established an IT roadmap and culture that accelerated IT transformation through cloud computing migration, infrastructure standardization and application rationalization. He deployed robotic process automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance organization. He is recognized for his investment in talent development, diversity and inclusion as he coaches next generation IT leaderson their career journey.
Fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, Mario graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico. He was a finalist in the Dallas CIO of the Year ORBIE awards in 2019.
