Marko joined Fortum Partners with significant experience as a global technology leader and entrepreneur in financial services, life sciences, and healthcare.  A passion for data, machine learning, and quantum computing has positioned him to partner with sophisticated enterprises, serve private equity-backed portfolio companies, and lead start-ups.  Marko presents both an executive presence and a hands-on approach as he guides complex projects from inception to completion.  His technical savvy and poise in highly competitive environments are complemented by business acumen and change agility.  He successfully drives adoption of new platforms, applications, and innovation.  Marko is known for recruiting, training, and mentoring talented technical teams ready to drive digital transformation across the organization.

As a CTO and senior IT executive, Marko taps his entrepreneurial spirit and agile leadership talents.  He develops technology roadmaps, data analytics, quantum proof of concept algorithms, and turnkey scalable solutions.  Marko has built pioneering cloud solutions, implemented cybersecurity processes, launched agile project management, and modernized infrastructure to improve disaster recovery.  He has rebuilt degraded systems to remove risks and improve operating performance.  His experience also includes serving as an applications designer, architect of machine learning frameworks, and steward of channel partnerships with AWS and Azure.  Marko leads technology teams by example and inspires performance with a shared passion for excellence.

Marko earned a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Law from Bayes Business School in London.  He recently completed a Computing MicroMasters in Quantum Technology at Purdue University.  Committed to professional development, Marko has achieved Certified Security Testing Professional (CSTP) and Certified Security Testing Associate (CSTA) credentials.  He is bilingual in English, Italian, and Serbian and has additional language skills in German, French, and Russian. He has worked and lived in the US, Europe and Asia.  Away from the office, Marko enjoys riding motorcycles, playing squash, coaching youth rugby, and volunteering with local nonprofits.
