As an accomplished CIO / CTO, Phillip spent nearly two decades in financial markets firms developing mission-critical applications for option valuation, electronic trading, portfolio management and risk management. Earlier in his career, he consulted on relational databases and software for major banks, multinational corporations and financial institutions.
Phillip earned an MBA in Finance from Heriot-Watt University, a public research university based in Edinburgh, Scotland. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, he studied music composition. Phillip has written two short operas, choral pieces, chamber works primarily for cello and piano and select film scores. In 2010, Hartford Opera Theater premiered his chamber opera Tom Sawyer at the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Connecticut as part of museum's commemoration of the centenary of Twain's death. He has achieved a Diamond Life Master ranking from the American Contract Bridge League and is a former national champion.
