Ray Oral is a Partner in Fortium’s Midwest practice.  He is a gifted technology leader, sought-after advisory board member, and devoted community champion. A financial services executive with broad experience across all disciplines of technology planning, execution, support and business leadership, Ray has over 30 years of experience in insurance, retail, commercial, mortgage and investment banking as well as the securities industry.

Ray has served on the advisory boards of Cisco Systems, Accenture, Hewlett Packard, Fidelity and Sprint Communications over his career and, was one of the founding members of Chicago First, a non-profit entity whose purpose is to maintain continuity of Chicago’s financial district in the event a catastrophic event threatened to disrupt Chicago’s financial operations. Ray currently serves on the Board of ACORD Solutions Group (ASG), is an advisory board member for Tricentis, a software company focused on real time continuous testing that automates and accelerates Digital Transformation and more recently has become involved with several InsurTech start-ups.  He also served on the board of Lumity a Chicago based non-profit and championed CNA’s involvement with Chicago Technical Academy (ChiTech), a charter school on Chicago’s west side.  Both of these non-profits have been focused on STEM education in Chicago. Ray’s current non-profit work includes serving as a board member for the Alkyme foundation, whose mission is to help eliminate millennial college debt and as a member of Thresholds Technology Committee, a non-profit focused on addressing mental health problems in under-served communities.
