Rich is a Partner in Fortium Partners’ Midwest region. His deep experience in strategic planning, operations management, product development and organizational development is complemented by extensive capabilities in complex project management. Leading large IT teams with significant budget responsibility, he has proven results in driving operational efficiencies that fund IT and business transformation. He has consistently shown the ability to build high performance organizations which deliver sustainable best in class performance. Rich has successfully managed complex outsourcing engagements from negotiations through delivery from both the customer and vendor perspective. He also understands the positive impact culture contributes to the employee experience and overall corporate success.
As a CIO, Rich led the creation and implementation of strategic transformation plans focused on increasing operational performance while driving IT and business transformation. He was able to fund new initiatives thanks to operational efficiencies resulting from leveraging artificial intelligence, automation, process re-engineering and other tools and techniques. Of note, he led the technical separation of a large business unit from a publicly held enterprise as well as the due diligence and integration activities of several acquisitions that followed. In outsourcing situations, Rich has been on both sides of the table – as CIO and supplier. Adept at such activities as enterprise project governance, reporting, and capacity planning, he built and managed scalable professional services teams delivering sustainable best in class performance. Rich’s technology teams satisfied the ever-evolving compliance and regulatory requirements of various government agencies and documented industry frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, CCPA and NIST. His security teams consistently passed numerous information security audits from customers and government agencies, such as the IRS and US Department of Education.
Rich graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business-Economics, and Psychology from Utica College of Syracuse University.
